Over and over I keep hearing about the benefits of matcha but I am not a green tea person. Don't really love the taste of the matcha. I suppose some of its an acquired taste but I found mixing into my smoothies hides the flavor, so here ya go!
Matcha is a powdered green tea which includes the whole leaf, therefore way more powerful than drinking green tea. Matcha is rich in antioxidants, including catechins, which are a class of plant compounds. It also contains caffeine, amino acids, fiber, vitamin C, chromium, magnesium, selenium, and zinc. It is good for brain health, heart health, inflammation, gut health, liver health, disease prevention and can even boost your metabolism.
