To hit 150g of protein a day, it is definitely an intentional effort. But not hard once you get into the groove.
Coffee or Tea: Add Collagen (18g of protein)
Breakfast Favorites:
- Smoothie (Whey AND Collagen) = 45g; it can be as simple as those two powders + your favorite milk. Or add in frozen fruit and spoonful of almond butter for more. I've got a ton of smoothie recipes to look through. Double up on the powders and there's your 45g!
- Yogurt Breakfast: 1 cup Full Fat Greek Yogurt + 1 serving Vanilla Collagen or Vanilla Whey powder = at least 36g of protein or more; top with berries and a sprinkle of your favorite granola for some crunch
- Eggs: cook up 3 eggs scramble with 1/4 cup cottage cheese for added protein; You can even quick blend this in a blender if you dont like the consistency of cottage cheese. Simple scramble or make it an omelette with your favorite veggie = 35g protein
Lunch:
- Wild tuna/salmon packet + squeeze of lemon + salt + dill and mayo or avocado to make it smooth 25g of protein
- Homemade chicken salad = 32g of protein
- Omelette (above)
- Cobb Salad (favorite high protein salad to order out) = 45-50g
- Smoothie bowl :) = 45g
Dinner
- Taco Bowls (lettuce base, favorite protein, 1/4 cup cheddar, black beans, olives, guacamole, spoonful of greek yogurt instead of sour cream, salsa) = 35g
- 4oz Grilled Chicken = 30g
- 4 oz of Grass-fed beef 25-30g
- 4oz of Shrimp 25g
- 4oz piece of Salmon 28-30g
