I was teaching a cooking class today and decided to do a quick recap to the everyone on some of my favorite kitchen items! Having good kitchen gadgets can save so much time in the kitchen and just make life easier!
Small Items
- Hand Frother: I use this to mix my coffee/collagen, electrolytes/water or chocolate collagen/almond milk but you can use for any hot/cold drink.
- Lemon/lime Squeezer: So easy to use and great to extract all the juice out. And, without seeds!
- Garlic Peeler Tube: This is the easiest way to peel garlic, simply roll and the peel comes right off
- Garlic Press Fresh garlic is the best and this is the easiest way to quickly mince your garlic.
- Spatula for Vitamix: This allows you to use every last bit out of your Vitamix.
Favorite Small Appliances:
- The Vitamix! My absolute favorite thing in my kitchen! It is an investment but I have had mine for 15 years and it is still working great! It blends anything and makes it smooth and creamy. Not only does it make the best smoothies, but also soups! I use it for smoothies, soups, salad dressing and muffin batter. It is the best!
- Food Processor I use this for shredding carrots, zucchini, chopping up veggies, making energy bites and much more!
- Slow Cooker So easy to make soups, cook chicken in and also the easiest way to cook potatoes (simply wet the potato and cook on low for 4-6 hours)
- Rice Cooker Never burn your grains again! It is so nice not to have to sit over it and stir and always cooked perfectly! I use it for rice, quinoa and lentils.
Hope this helps!
