As the grocery prices keep increasing, it is important to be smart with our shopping! Here are some tips for saving money!
- Download the grocery apps and join their emails. It only takes a few minutes to quickly look through the weekly sales each week (most run their sales wed-tues)
- Join any rewards programs to earn $ back. Some stores (such as Fresh Thyme even give bigger discounts like $10 off a purchase over $130)
- Plan your meals according to the sales
- Stock up on good sales if it is freezer safe/pantry safe.
- Compare prices of items your family uses. For example, Walmart has some good gluten-free items that normally cost us a lot more elsewhere. So, every so often I do a grocery pick up to get those items. Super easy!
- Visit some of the discount stores, such as Costco, Sams, Walmart, Aldi, Target, Trader Joes! Lots of good finds to keep on your rotation.
- Lastly, I've made a list in one of my favorite apps, Paprika. Its an app for recipes but I store all my favorite grocery items at each store in there too so when I am stopping in there I can quickly glance at my list and pick up any of those items too.
Hope this helps!
